Imagine being thrown into a magical world filled with the doom of one man and his many loyal and violent followers after seven years of being inside the safe halls of Hogwarts. For the marauders and many in their class that is the exact thing that’s going on in their lives. The year is 1978, and the Marauders and their mates have just graduated from Hogwarts. They don’t enter a world of daisies and buttercups though; they enter a world filled with pain, suffering, death, and loss. It is a far cry from the protective walls of Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Rated R for violence, strong language and adult situations.
Our RPG is Intermediate and up.

Every site has their own rules, we need them for the site to run smoothly, so please follow ours. After all, to keep the role playing fun you have to be fair. It's a bit long (oh dear, I'm turning into a perfectionist!) but not half as long as some other RPG's out there, so if you want to join our site please read it before you apply.

Rules

Characters

Perfection! No Mary Sues (Or the male version of it). A Mary Sue is perfect and everyone loves her (or him) . Make it original. Every character has its own flaws. Also we'd like this to be applied the other way as well. You can't say she's (or he) the cruelest on the website, let other people's characters have their own opinions on her.
Plagiarism! Don't steal from someone else! All characters have similarities, just like people are, we understand that, but if we see you copy something word for word from another character, application or whatever it is we will take action on that.
Canon! Whatever JK wrote in the Harry Potter books, or said about them in interviews stick to that. If you don't want to please PM me explaining why.
Multiple Characters! These are allowed. If you have more than one character please be active with both/all, and have separate accounts for them.
Plot! Stick to it. Not as if i'm asking you to make every thread and post centering around our plot, just don't go against it.
Character Deaths! This adds to drama of-course so we won't mind but it must be known and approved by the admins first.
Inactivity! Inactivity without notice has consequences. If you haven't so much as signed on in ten days, without notifying us beforehand then if someone else is interested in playing the canon, we shall allow that person to play it. If you haven't signed on in fourteen days without notifying us beforehand you lose privileges over your character and you application will be archived. If you are inactive for over a month without notice of such a long absence, your account will be deleted.

Role Playing
Spelling and Punctuation! Not everyone is perfect, we all make mistakes. Still, it is annoying when in every or nearly every post there are errors. I can stand it most of the time, but most can't. If you don't think you can be rare in these errors, I'm sorry but we can't accept that. If the Proboards spell checker is malfunctioning, use a word processing one. Its not that hard with the magic of cut and paste.
Third Person! Always use third person when in character. In Photo Albums and Diaries you will be allowed to use first person, but no where else. In OCC (Out of Character) boards you will be OOC of course.
Images! No smileys, avatars, or pictures in Role playing posts please.
Flaming! In character, of course they'll be enemies so your characters can insult each other but although it will be in character please do not insult race or religion. This is Harry Potter, though, so you can insult on magical blood status and such.
Godmoding! This is prohibited, and not looked on well. We will not tolerate it. You can not control another person's character. If you want to put a character under a spell to control them you must get permission from the person playing them.
Your character can't know everyone's business. If they are good friends or something, and their sister, brother, best friend or whatever told them that will be allowed but your character can't be everywhere, all the time and know everything. It's annoying.
Short Posts! We don't want these. If you make a short post, the next person won't have much to reply to and the thread might become dull. The minimum is around ten lines, definitely no one or two liners.
Plots! Everybody loves plots. I know I do, but it gets confusing if we have twenty bazillion major sub plots going on at the same time, so the staff have placed a small restriction on this. If the plot is going to involve a kidnapping, or a major battle, or a death please let us know about it before hand. We just want to keep the major sub plots from getting too confusing. If it's simply going to end in a duel then there's no need to clear it with us. Generally a staff member will be on every day so simply send them a PM asking if its cool. Chances are they'll let you have at 'er. If you're not sure whether or not you should ask, ask anyways, we won't mind.

Other Rules

Staff! I shall choose Staff, so don't ask. =P
Swearing! This is allowed, just don't over do it please. After a while it just gets annoying and loses it's effect.
Advertising! Do not advertise your site anywhere but the Advertising board- thats what its there for. Don't advertise in the Cbox, PMs...don't even say 'check out my site it's in my profile'. Don't tell someone to post in a site that's not this one in our Cbox or PMs either.
Spamming! Dont! This is self-explanatory people.
