The Day Before (Isabelle) « Thread Started on Dec 27, 2008, 6:14pm »
Narcissa checked her clock again as she was in her private room in the Malfoy Manor, she shared one with Lucius of-course, but stayed in this one when she was sick and planned to spend throughout the entire length of her pregnancy. She had a lot of personal belongings that Lucius knew better than to touch along with a lot of photo albums and such posessions from her childhood. On the simple oak desk laid a lot of preparations for the wedding. As Isabelle's cousin and maid of honour she had been in charge of a lot of stuff, she merely had copies of the preparations, of-course, since Isabelle had made most of them although Narcissa had fine tweaked them trying to make Isabelle's wedding perfect, nearly as good as her own. A quill and several pages of parchment lay on the desk, she had sent owls to the caterers, florist, and the build of the reception and church with last minute details. On her bed laid the bridesmaid dress Narcissa was wearing tomorrow, with the shoes besides her bedside stand. On her dresser was the jewellery she was wearing as long as a picture of her hairstyle and spells that would be helpful to put her hair up. There was no rehearsal dinner, the invited would, of-course, be too impatient. Narcissa hadn't had a wedding rehearsal either, that was a silly muggle tradtion, as well as a bachelorette party something she hadn't had. Isabelle was having one tonight with her and Bella however, it'd be nice, seeing her sister and her newly favourite cousin. To be honest, Narcissa wasn't sure if Augustus would have a bachelor party, she wasn't very concerned with his affairs. She had been in Hogwarts with him, two years his senior, something she was thankful for because if he had been so much as a sixth year when she was in her seventh...Narcissa shuddered to think about it.
After a hundred brushes, like always, she put her hair brush down and checked her clock one last time. It was nearly 10 AM. She apparated out of her room into the Rosier Summer House where Isabelle had been spending her time at. Today would be her last day, of-course, not only because it was the last day of August but because as soon as she was married to Augustus she'd be living with him. Augustus and Isabelle seemed to like each other, at least she knew for a fact that Isabelle did not mind at all getting married to Augustus. It hadn't been the same with her and Lucius, she had fallen in love with him, yes, after the wedding, something that was the typical order in pureblood families if they even fell in love at all. Throughout her engagement she had really just been angry about the whole engagement, something Bellatrix didn't notice because of the little talk there was between them about the wedding. Honestly, Narcissa was pretty sure Bellatrix had been relieved that she barely had to do anything for the wedding preperations. Narcissa hadn't expected her to be very into the whole ceremonial scene despite the fact that she was her maid of honour. She lightly remembered that Isabelle hadn't been to her wedding, Narcissa had been too embarassed to have her cousins see the wedding, so she made sure it was during the school year. Sirius, Regulus, Isabelle, and her brother hadn't been to the wedding, something she didn't regret to this day even though she now loved Lucius. She had obliged her parents orders, though they could care less about anything else she did, and the wedding had been a fancy statement of how weak she was as well as the public show of her decision over her family or her opinions. Narcissa was ashamed of the fact that she almost left her family because of the stupid mudbloods, but it only showed the power they had over them, and she had resisted it unlike Andromeda and Sirius. Was she wrong about her parents? No, but they weren't her family, the Blacks, Rosiers, and Malfoys were, but that was all.
Narcissa knocked on Isabelle's door ready to fine tweak everything for tomorrow. She wanted everything to be perfect tomorrow because of the work she had put into it and she was sure Isabelle also wanted it to be perfect. Perhaps it wasn't an obsession like her own wedding had been with Narcissa, but it was Isabelle's big day. She had been slightly surprised she had been chosen as maid of honour, but she had been glad, perhaps it was just something about the both of them only having their family to turn to. Narcissa, afterall, didn't have many friends either, hence the reason she hadn't had a bachelorette party. She could spent any night with her Bellatrix, she didn't need to add firewhiskey the equation, mainly because she didn't really didn't like firewhiskey all that much. However she expected that Isabelle's later that evening would be fun.

ISABELLE ROSIER! Music starts playin' like the end of a sad movie, It's the kinda ending you don't really wanna see. Cause it's tragedy and it'll only bring you down, Now I don't know what to be without you around. ------------------------♥-------------------------
The night had been one of restless sleep, and tossing and turning. Isabelle, though she had slept for eight hours, felt as if she had gotten no sleep at all. She had woken up though about two hours ago, having set an alrm of sorts. Now that she was up though she was dressed and ready to go for the day which was sure to be event filled. It was the day before her wedding after all and she couldn't believe it had come that fast. Tomorrow she was getting married to the one boy she had ever actually loved, even though it had been and still was a fleeting romance. The fact that her parents had assigned her to marry him, was crazy, so crazy. She hadn't believed it until the next time she had been able to talk to Augustus. They had shared a moment of understanding, both of them able to express the fact that they had been shocked at this revelation.
Isabelle glanced around her room, knowing this was probably one of the last times she would stay here. After the wedding, as far as she knew, she would be moving in with Augustus and they would probably not be residing within this house. After all Isabelle knew that one of the reasons behind her arranged marriage was that her parents wanted her out of the house. Her long fingers touched the door way softly. It was almost sad to be leaving this house, but in another instant she got over it. There was too much to do, too much for her to be doing. She had no time to be missing a house.
Isabelle smoothed the front of her long sleeved sweater, which strategically covered the mark on her arm. It was a nice sweater, one that kept her wamr in the chilly house but would be stifling if she were to go outside. but since she had no plans to go outside until later she would fine. As she adjusted her jeans, a large crack resonated through the house. Isabelle glanced at a clock on the wall. Ten o'clock. That would be Narcissa.
"Cousin!" she called out, entering the main house from her room.

Narcissa pushed her hair behind and opened the door herself when she heard Isabelle's yell instead of her answering the door. She didn't know why she bothered to knock on the door, she didn't with Bellatrix afterall, and although her and Isabelle weren't that close they were family. Not to mention, they had to be friends, afterall she could have chosen Bellatrix to be maid of honour...although that could just be because Narcissa was closer to her age and obviously had more of an attention span for this than Bellatrix. She entered the house and scoffed when she saw her younger cousin in a sweater, it was August! Then again, in the house it was drafty so she couldn't exactly blame her. She herself had learned not to wear short sleeves in Isabelle's house. "Isabelle," Narcissa called in return stretching out her name with a happy tone. It was always nice to see Isabelle, they were so alike, both reserved. With how well acquainted she had gotten with her fiancee it seemed that they had more in common than they first appeared. Then again, Narcissa hadn't gotten too many of the Black genes, more so the Rosier because of her mother.
"Are you ready for tomorrow?" Narcissa asked her cousin as she went and invited herself to the couch. She had brief flashbacks of her own wedding when she was around Isabelle. Inwardly, she sighed, she had been eighteen when she married, seventeen when she was engaged. It was so long ago, no regrets, but it felt weird to think about how young she had really been when she got married. Neither Isabelle or Augustus were that young either. No one in the pureblood families were young when they were betrothed. For Isabelle and especially Bellatrix it didn't matter. Bellatrix was in the inner circle and she was married to Rodolphus. Isabelle wasn't quite in the inner circle but that didn't matter, Narcissa was part of his inner circle because of Lucius and Bellatrix and because she had proven her loyalty if not for him then for the assurance that she was never going to betray him, but unlike Isabelle she wasn't marked. However, many believed that she wasn't even a death eater, that having Lucius' babies was all she was cut out to be. She sat back in the couch and smirked at her cousin jokingly. "Should be simple enough, afterall, all you have to do is smile pretty and say 'I do'."
Narcissa was only here to see exactly what Isabelle was going to look like tomorrow and between her and her wand tweak it so that Isabelle looked perfect. In fact, Narcissa would not be satisfied until she was sure Augustus would faint and then claim that he was not at all good for her cousin. Which he wasn't, not in Narcissa's opinion, anyways, but with her parents, aunts, and uncles only blood talked. Only blood and their self absorbed ideals. However, Isabelle wasn't in her dress so there was no reason not to exchange pleasantries. Narcissa was never one to forget her manners, afterall.

Oh so she was worried. What if people didn't show up, what if no one showed up. Worse yet.. What if Augustus didn't show up? He was the groom but the Dark Lord had sent him on a mission. He had promised her that he would be back the morning of the wedding and she was planning on holding him to the promise. But still the worry nagged in the pit of her stomach, what if he didn't show? What would she do then?
Ready for tomorrow? Was that a trick question? Isabelle had thought she was ready. Ever since her break up with whats his face she had thought she was ready. She had had a brief phase when she had started to see Augustus that she hadnt wanted to get married, but then her parents had told her that was was arranged to marry him. Since that day Isabelle hadn't had a doubt in her mind that she was ready for tomorrow, until now. Butterflies were in her stomach, and Narcissa calmly tried to reassure her. In the neuroticness she was feeling right now Isabelle could only wonder if she would remember how to smile prettily. But she laughed. "I should be all right. At least I hope I'm ready," said Isabelle.
She paused for a moment, wondering what to say next. Normally she was never at a loss for words but apparently today, like everything else was going to be one of those days where she was at a loss for words. "Are you ready for tomorrow?" she asked with a laugh. It was a stupid question, and she knew that answer. Of course her cousin would be ready for tomorrow. But the whole point of today was to make sure that all of the final details were perfect for the wedding tomorrow, and knowing her cousin's standards, she wouldn't rest until it was perfect.
